1. Water Treatment
Industrial water is received and stored in water tanks. Water for high-pressure boilers is produced and supplied through the water treatment process consisting of the clarifier, gravity filter, activated carbon filter, ion exchange resins and MBP.
2. Coal Handling System
The bituminous coal is transported from the Gwangyang port to the Yeosu and Gunsan plants by trucks. Then it is stored in the coal silo and fed into the boilers through a conveyor belt system.
3. CFBC Boiler
The coal is supplied to the combustion furnace filled with the bed materials(sand, ashes). The combustion air is supplied at a high speed through the distribution plate at the bottom while the particles circulate in floating state.
This device electrically captures dust by passing exhaust gas through the layers of the ESP system to prevent the discharge of dust to the air. This helps to minimize air pollution.
5. Steam Turbine
This device produces rotational force through impulse and reaction using the flow of compressive fluids(gas, steam).
This is the device that restores condensable vapor to water through operating steam turbine with water vapor which is generated from boiler.
7. Cooling Tower
This is a heat exchanger that cools water by direct contact with external air to reuse the cooling water for the condenser.
The generator converts the mechanical energy generated by the rotation of the steam turbine to the electric energy.
This device changes the voltage of alternating current or the current value using electromagnetic induction.
